A movement that was created by young people across the globe in an effort to build a healthier and prosperous world for them and future generations!

What is Global Warming?
As you know, the sun is what keeps us warm; without it, we wouldn’t be able to live. As the solar radiation from the sun is absorbed here on earth, some of it is reflected back into space. With the increasing rise of greenhouse emissions being released, it is making our atmosphere thicker, not allowing the solar radiation to bounce back into space. Trapping all of the solar radiation entering the atmosphere and increasing the average temperature of the earth, causing, and will continue to create, problems here on earth if not fixed!
So, How is Sandos Going to Fix It?
Well, unfortunately, as one hotel chain, the number of actions that they can do will never truly be enough to help the entire world. So, Sandos Hotels and Resorts in Mexico are doing the next best thing, joining a global campaign and commitment to band together with the world and send a message that the time to make a difference is now, and the only way we can do it is together!
#ClimateStrike: Sending a Message
Guests and Staff at Sandos Finisterra, Sandos Playacar, Sandos Cancun, and Sandos Caracol met on each of the hotels’ beaches, united together, and stood alongside the rest of the world for the #ClimateStrike marching with signs and communicating that enough is enough, and it’s time to change.
Even the night performances at Sandos Playacar and Sandos Caracol were followed with an impacting march, empowering fellow guests and staff to support the fight against climate change!
But…. There is no I in Change! It doesn’t matter where you are, where you live, or even where you go on vacation; it matters that we make a difference. We all can make the change; it’s not too late!
What Can You do?
The first step is always the most difficult; genuinely wanting to make a difference! If you can do that, you can do whatever you set your mind to! You can start little changes around the house, at work, or in the environment, but the biggest thing you can do is join campaigns across the globe, in person or even online! You can also find local campaigns that are close and attack big global climate issues that affect the entire world!
