Sandos Caracol Eco Resort is located on Xcalacoco Beach, five minutes north of Playa del Carmen, and surrounded by lush jungles, cenotes, mangrove rivers, wildlife, and Mayan legends. Across the city, Sandos Playacar Beach Resort is located in the exclusive residential area of Playacar at the southern end of Playa del Carmen on a mesmerizing white sand beach. And if you’re staying at Sandos Playacar, you can also spend the day at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort without any problem. Both hotels are located in the city of Playa del Carmen. However, they are still two very distinct properties, each with attractions to captivate you during your all-inclusive vacation in the Riviera Maya. What’s at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort?
Designed for travelers who love nature and culture, this eco-resort has jungles and mangrove forests to explore, as well as incredible family activities. Here, the All-Nature Experience gives you the opportunity to learn about the Riviera Maya’s natural environment and the Maya culture that resides in this region; discover ancient Maya legends on our Eco Tours during the day and through the nighttime shows in beautiful natural settings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. You can also participate in endless eco-activities with the All-Nature Experience, like Maya cooking, survival techniques, snorkeling in the Cenote Cristalino, and swimming through the mangrove on the Jade River Adventure.
If all-out fun is what you seek at Sandos Caracol, you can also try out our famous Aqua Park! This water park has a brightly-colored area for little kids with 17 water slides, along with a variety of slides for big kids, teens, and adults.

It’s no secret that Sandos Playacar is one of the best hotels in Playa del Carmen for beach lovers. This all-inclusive resort is located on one of the most extensive and beautiful beaches in the entire Riviera Maya. With our All Playa Experience, you can enjoy various beach and pool activities like rallies, Zumba, yoga, cooking classes, volleyball, and so much more. Sandos Playacar also boasts a one-of-a-kind family pool area. It has a mini-aqua park, an infinity pool with a swim-up bar, and a snack bar, all situated just steps away from the beach.
Sandos Playacar offers activities and fun for the whole family with mini golf, free bike rentals, tennis courts, and paddle board courts. Kids will love the treehouse and the Kids’ Club pool, while teenagers will enjoy the video games and arcade at the Lite Teen Club. What If I’m at Sandos Cancun Resort?
Guests at Sandos Cancún also have all-inclusive access to Sandos Caracol and Sandos Playacar! However, guests of Sandos Caracol Eco Resorts and Sandos Playacar cannot visit our hotel in Cancun without paying an extra fee.
It’s very simple! Just let reception the hotel you are staying at know that you would like to visit the other hotel. Just keep in mind that we do not provide transportation, but you can reach the other property in about 15 minutes using a taxi or your own vehicle. (The time from Sandos Cancún is approximately one hour.)
How Can I Visit the Other Hotel?
It’s so easy! All you have to do is let the reception desk know that you’re going to visit the other hotel.
All we ask is that you please keep in mind that we do not provide transportation, but you can reach the other property in about 15 minutes using a taxi or your own vehicle. (The time from Sandos Cancun is about one hour.)
