Supporting the Shelters of the Riviera Maya
Here at Sandos Caracol, we just love animals! From the spider monkeys hanging from the resort’s trees to the new pig we rescued from an uncertain fate, this hotel is bursting with amazing animal stories.
This April, we’ll be welcoming a visitor who just might love animals even more than we do: Cesar Millan! The famous Dog Whisperer will be live at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort on April 23 and 24, 2016. During his visit, he’ll be supporting the animal shelters of our community in the Riviera Maya.
Cesar Millan stars in the show “Leader of the Pack” on the NatGeo WILD channel, where he’s dedicated to rehabilitating dogs that are considered “unadoptable” so that he can then find them the perfect home.
Schedule of Events with Cesar Millan
There will be three events during Cesar Millan’s visit to Sandos Caracol, with options for guests and for those of us who live here in the Riviera Maya. Below, we have the full schedule:
- Meet & Greet Cocktail
Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 5:00 pm
Price: $75 USD per person (limited space)
This 2-hour cocktail party gives you the opportunity to have your picture taken with Cesar Millan or to get his autograph. You’ll also enjoy an open bar and delicious vegan hors d’oeuvres for a completely animal friendly evening. Access to this event also includes complementary parking at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort on Saturday, April 23.
- VIP Dinner with the presence of Cesar Millan

Price: $250 USD per person (limited space, does not include overnight hotel stay)
Step into the jungle of the Riviera Maya for an incredible evening featuring a VIP dinner and a beautiful surprise show! In addition to the dinner event, this ticket also includes a day pass to Sandos Caracol the day of the dinner starting at 9:00 am and access to the Meet & Greet Cocktail at 5:00 pm, in addition to complementary parking at Sandos Caracol. You’ll also have access to the conference with Cesar Millan on Sunday, April 24 at 3:00 pm.

This conference is included for all guests staying at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and also for those who bought their ticket for the VIP Dinner. Spoken in English, this conference will take place at the hotel theater. There will also be a market for supporting the animal shelters of the Riviera Maya, and some local shelters will be there to give you the opportunity to begin the adoption process of a beautiful dog.
We’re thrilled to share with you all that the total ticket sales from the Meet & Greet and VIP Dinner will be given to local Riviera Maya animal rescue associations.
If you’ve been to our resort, then you know that here at the hotel we have various animals that we have rescued, like Lupita the macaw and our new pig (who has been named Coco thanks to your suggestions!) We hope that with this event, our guests as well as people living in the Riviera Maya will be inspired to adopt a dog from one of the local shelters and take him or her home as part of the family.
