The Best Music for the Beach

Posted on 6 m read

One-of-a-kind beats to accompany the best cocktails

The Rhythm Experience is all about stretching out on a bali bed with your favorite cocktail while getting in some sun bathing.

It’s an experience where you feel surrounded by the best beats and you can’t miss the chance to get up and dance.

One of the most popular kinds of music to enjoy on the beach is electronic, a genre that was born in the late nineteenth century with the first electronic musical instruments, an invention that made a mark in the history of modern music.

Although Latin music genres like reggaeton and bachata are becoming more and more popular, electronic music and its variants add, without a doubt, that alternative and unique touch to every pool party.

A few weeks ago, we had an interview with our in-house DJ Jesus Nava, and now we asked him to choose the best beach music to enjoy The Rhythm Experience to the fullest, even from a mobile phone.

Click here to hear the electronic version of The Rhythm Experience’s official playlist:

While you listen to the best music for the beach and the pool, we’ll tell you a little about the musicians that make it possible:

1. Nora En Pure

Daniela Niederer, better known as Nora En Pure, is a South African girl living in Europe, whose vision of the world can be heard in each of her songs. With influences based in rock, surprisingly, Nora En Pure defines her style as tropical and cheerful.

Summer will reach your ears even if you listen to this in Antarctica, but we’re sure that you’ll like it better with a Caribbean view like the one at Sandos Cancun.

2. Alok & Bruno

We cannot allude to summer on the beach without adding this musical jewel, Never Let Me Go. With a simple and catchy chorus created by Brazilians for anyone seeking the perfect song for summer, these rhythms reached number 87 on the top 100 hits of Billboard Brazil.

Alok is a DJ somewhat focused on house and deep house, while Bruno Martini previously had a rock band called College 11 that opened concerts for Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Singer-songwriter Zeeba also collaborates on this song.

3. Moloko

On the list, we have a classic of electronic music and alternative dance that’s sure to have you catching the beat and moving your feet, whether you’re enjoying the pool or enjoying a delicious snack at St. Trop.

Sing It Back was originally by Moloko, the duet that inspired this remix by Boris Dlugosch, who revived the original song with an interesting twist that made it the number 4 single on the UK Singles Chart in 1999, as the original single did not have the expected success when it launched the same year.

4. Oliver Dollar

Launched in 2014, Pushing On is another new deep house classic that fills the atmosphere with good vibes through its lyrics, because however you “translate” it, we are sure it will be positive message. We like to think of it as an ode to tenacity and perseverance.

Just like you, when you were so patient as you counted down the days to your all inclusive vacation in Cancun!

5. Jesus Nava

The best DJ in Cancun! Jesus Nava brings us different rhythms every day at the resort, and of course his best beats are included, one of which is included in this beach playlist: Climax.

Nava is, without a doubt, someone to watch, as he is now a top DJ in Mexico’s House and Tech House scene.

Listen to him every day at The Rhythm Experience in Sandos Cancun!

6. Sísý Ey

Originally from Iceland, sisters Elin, Elisabet and Sigga started their collaboration with DJ Oculus and formed Sísý Ey in 2011, a mix of really unique talents and intense energy.

Although their skills can be better appreciated live like any good band, you can’t miss their music in this playlist for being on the beach.

7. Sam Feldt, Deepend and Teemu

This track shouts “summer” from all angles. Imagine leaving the buffet after a delicious breakfast and heading to the pool while listening to this relaxed and positive beat. Did someone say mimosas? Choose your best spot and enjoy paradise.

Feldt is a Dutch DJ spinning house, deep house and tropical house, while Deepend is also made up of Dutch DJs, and today they enjoy international fame. This popular hit released in 2017 was made with the collaboration of the Thai singer Teemu.

8. Ultra Nate, Samuele Sartini

The wonderful voice and presence of Ultra Nate is imposed in this classic, and Samuele Sartini is shining in this remix. Sartini is one of the most talented and recognized Italian DJs in the world for their quality deliveries.

Even palm trees will dance with the rhythm of these big stars. Don’t forget to take your most Caribbean photo and tag us… you could appear on our Instagram!

9. Candi Staton

To this fun playlist we added a remix of the legend Candi Staton by the Australian Dr Packer, an editing master, who usually focuses on retro hits. This single is one of the freshest, and we love it.

We hope that you’re wearing comfortable shoes when you listen because this is one of the hits that will have you dancing without even noticing. Long live music!

10. NY’s Finest, City Soul Project

You’ll be in the mood for floating in the pool while applying some good bronzer when you hear this song. Maybe a big pink flamingo float will do the trick. Ahhh, paradise at Sandos Cancun!

City Soul Project is a unique deep house project that came straight from London, England and began to create hits like this one with the best DJs, producers and record labels. Like this case with NY’s Finest.

11. De Hofnar

De Hofnar started producing electronic music when he was a child; his instrumental side caused him to give contemporary house music a twist, resulting in unique songs that evoke profound experiences.

This piece is just perfect when you’re hearing it from the hammocks on the Bar One terrace; combine this song with some ocean views, and you’ll feel on top of the world.

12. Andre Crom, Teenage Mutants

Experimenting between house and techno, Andre Crom has arrived to combine his powers with the positive vibes of Teenage Mutants, so they created this emotional and highly dance-worthy piece.

This song is ideal for those days when you want to dance on the beach while the sun is shining brighter than ever. Don’t forget your sunglasses, you’re in the Caribbean!

13. Robin Schulz, Franceso Yates

Just press play and get your dance on, because you won’t be able to avoid moving and singing to this hit. In addition to going back to the time of Baby Bash with the sample of “Suga Suga” in this song, Robin Schulz reached success when he added the voice of Canadian Franceso Yates.

We recommend accompanying the chorus with a sweet drink like a Tequila Sunrise. Don’t forget to take a selfie with your cocktail and upload it to your social media with the #Sandos hashtag!

14. Purple Disco Machine

This German project came to the world to give it their all. PDM has made popular remixes of great stars such as Gorillaz, Two Door Cinema Club and Claptone, but its originality is unmistakable with its own beats.

The single that we added to our beach music playlist, Street Life, is perhaps more dense than other hits with its classic funk, perfect for dancing on the beach by day or by the pool after dark.

The Rhythm Experience is the mix between good music, style and delicious cuisine. Whether your thing is glamour or a good party, you will love Sandos Cancun.

Book your stay now and don’t forget to bring your best vacation attitude!
