Lanzarote is a popular destination for extreme sports. Its rugged terrain and mild climate make a perfect place for adventure and outdoors disciplines. The toughest of these sports are called of ultraendurance and Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort is sponsoring this year two of them.
On March 31st Lanzarote LavaTrail is held, one ultramarathon (84 kilometers) around the whole island from Arrieta to Playa Blanca. This competition also includes a normal marathon (42 kilometers), a half marathon and a 13 km minitrail. The route is through mountains, sand and volcanic terrain.
Almost in Summer takes place Orbea Ultrabike Lanzarote, a Mountain Bike challenge that lasts two days. Cyclists travel the mountain, jable, and Lanzarote’s volcano, in a total of 160 kilometers driven between Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca.

The two races are ending in Marina Rubicon. There a hotel so well located in that area is the ideal place to rest after effort size. Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort offers special rates for stays at the hotel to participants in the race. In addition, as part of the sponsorship, the restaurant staff will serve the meal to all participants after end the test.
