100% Brazilian Market Growth Expected

Brazilian Market Growth

Huge Brazilian market growth is expected in the future for Sandos. Eliane Raboni, Sandos Hotels & Resorts Sales Director for Brazil, is thrilled about the results of the brand’s efforts in the Brazilian market. Two months from the close of the 2013 sales year, she estimates that they will finish the year with an approximately 100% increase in Brazilian tourists visiting Sandos hotels. “We’ve managed to get a large part of the Brazilian market to choose Sandos as the best option for their travels,” comments Eliana.

She also highlights a few of the strategies used in Brazil to achieve this growth, including strengthening relationships with the largest Brazilian tour companies, participating in most Mexico destination events (mainly in Cancun, the Riviera Maya and Los Cabos), and the large sales teams. “The idea is to give travel agents information on the main competitive differences at our hotels because we know that travel agents play the biggest part when it comes to closing sales,” she continues.

“We also launched a program to strengthen travel agent tourism; they can visit our hotels and personally enjoy the experiences we have to offer.” Eliane explains that the program offers three free nights, all inclusive at each of the Sandos hotels in Mexico. “This has been a great success when it comes to product knowledge and sales.”

Eliane also talks about fam trips as a network support system. In October, for example, Sandos hosted a fam trip with CVC, where participants could experience Sandos Hotels. “The brand firmly believes in the Brazilian market and the potential we have to grow in this country,” Eliane affirms. She also emphasizes the great work that the Mexico Tourism Board has done in Brazil, which is reflected in the demand for Mexico and its hotels.
